Instructions for Submission of Final Papers |
Your Final Paper should be submitted according to the following four-step procedure.
The STRICT DEADLINE is 15 MAY 2006, failing which your Paper will NOT be included in
the CD-ROM and Bound Proceedings!
Step 0: Paper Electronic Version
Please, prepare
an electronic version of your Paper according to the following Style
and Format.
Differently from the time of the original submissions, failure to comply with the required style and
format will automatically imply exclusion of the paper.
Paper Style
The Paper should be prepared in final Proceedings form (not exceeding six pages) according to
the IFAC LaTeX file guidelines. The package for IFAC papers consists of the following files:
Other than the sample file, there is
no specific instruction on how to use the ifacmtg.cls document class. Moreover, several requirements
on the pdf files and the style of the manuscript are imposed. Briefly,
- All fonts must be embedded in the file
- Fonts that require non-English language support are not allowed
- The paper size for final submission must be A4 and not US Letter
- The document margins must satisfy the printer's requirements
- The number of pages and the file size must satisfy the conference requirements
- The document should not have any password protection
- The document must include the sentence Copyright © 2006 IFAC at the end of the abstract, in italics and all on one line.
For Authors using Microsoft Word the compressed file ifac-msword.zip
is available containing the template and a sample PDF file.

Paper Format
You have to submit your Paper in PS
(PostScript) or PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) format. The maximum size for your file is
2 MB. This time, no compressed files will be accepted.
Please, be ready to submit your Paper in PS
or PDF format using your Web browser. When requested, be sure to give the exact Log Number assigned to your Paper.
Step 2: Copyright
Besides submitting your Paper electronically, you have to
download the Copyright Form, fill in and send it (by fax or regular mail) directly
to the Organizing Secretariat.
Step 3: Conference Registration
At least one advanced full registration fee must be paid for every accepted paper, otherwise the
paper will not be considered in the final event program and will not be published in the event documentation. Please visit the Registration page and remeber that the deadline
for advanced registration is 30 May 2006. No exception will be made!
Further, should your Paper exceed six pages, you are required to pay an Extra Page Charge of 120&euro. You'll be able to pay the extra charge
during the registration procedure. |
